INSTALLATION QUESTIONS

How long does it take to install a new sprinkler system?

The installation timeline can vary depending on the size and complexity of your yard. A typical residential installation can take anywhere from one to two days. We pride ourselves on being timely and efficient to get your system up and running as quickly as possible.

How much does a new sprinkler system cost?

The cost of a new sprinkler system depends on several factors, including the size of your yard, the number of zones needed, and the type of components you choose. We offer free, no-obligation consultations and estimates to provide you with a detailed and accurate quote tailored to your specific property.

What is the process for a new installation?

The process begins with a consultation where we assess your property, soil type, and landscaping needs. Our experts then design a custom system for optimal coverage and water efficiency. Once the design is approved, our team handles the entire installation process, including trenching, pipe placement, head installation, and controller setup. We conclude with a full system test and user training.

MAINTENANCE AND SEASONAL SERVICE QUESTIONS

What is a sprinkler system "start-up" (or activation)?

A spring start-up is the process of safely reactivating your sprinkler system for the watering season. Our technicians will slowly and carefully pressurize your system, check for any leaks or damage from the winter, adjust all sprinkler heads for proper coverage, and program your controller for the new season.

When should I have my system started up in the spring?

We recommend scheduling your start-up after the last chance of a hard freeze has passed, typically in late April or early May in Utah.

What is a sprinkler system "winterization" (or blowout)?

Winterization is the process of removing all water from your sprinkler lines using a high-volume air compressor. This is the most crucial step in seasonal maintenance to prevent water from freezing and bursting your pipes and valves during the winter.

When is the best time to schedule a blowout?

It's essential to have your blowout done in the fall, after you've finished using the system but before the first hard freeze, usually in October or early November.

REPAIR AND TROUBLESHOOTING QUESTIONS

My sprinkler head isn't working. What should I do?

A non-functioning sprinkler head is a common issue. It could be caused by a clog, a broken head, or a problem with the water pressure to that specific zone. While some issues can be a simple fix, others may require professional diagnosis and repair. We can quickly identify the problem and get it fixed.

I have a wet spot in my yard or a leak near a valve box. What does that mean?

A consistently wet or soggy spot in your yard is a strong indicator of a leak in an underground pipe. A leak near a valve box could mean a faulty valve or a leak at a connection point. Both issues require prompt repair to prevent water waste and potential damage to your property. Please call us immediately if you suspect a leak.

My entire system or a single zone won't turn on. What's the problem?

This could be a problem with the controller, a faulty valve, or a wiring issue. Our technicians have the tools and expertise to diagnose these electrical and mechanical problems to get your system working again.
