Warranty Policy
Our written commitment to standing behind every repair, installation, and membership.
Scope of Our Warranty
Warranties on our irrigation work are intended to give customers peace of mind about the repairs and installations performed by Pure Irrigation. Our warranty applies only to the specific components and work identified on the applicable invoice. It does not constitute a warranty on the customer’s entire sprinkler system, landscaping, water supply, electrical system, or every future visit to the property.
One-Year Parts & Labor Warranty
Pure Irrigation offers a basic one-year parts-and-labor warranty on qualifying work. This warranty covers qualifying defective parts and defects in Pure Irrigation’s workmanship under normal operating conditions. To maintain warranty eligibility through the first year, Pure Irrigation must perform the system’s first annual winterization following the covered work.
Extended Coverage Through the Essential Membership
Customers are eligible for extended warranty coverage of up to five years by joining and continuously maintaining Pure Irrigation’s Essential membership. The Essential membership includes annual spring startup and fall winterization services performed by Pure Irrigation. Each consecutive year of completed membership service extends eligible warranty coverage by one additional year, up to a maximum of five years from the original completion date.
A customer may purchase a standalone winterization from Pure Irrigation to maintain first-year warranty eligibility. Continued coverage beyond the first year requires enrollment in the Essential membership and completion of both the required startup and winterization services each year.
Winterization Requirement & Lapses in Coverage
If Pure Irrigation does not perform the required winterization, or if the Essential membership expires, is canceled, or lapses, warranty eligibility ends and cannot be reinstated retroactively. Professional seasonal maintenance is essential to protecting an irrigation system in Utah. Pure Irrigation cannot verify the procedures performed by another provider or confirm that the system was properly shut down, drained, reconnected, and started.
Damage or leaks discovered after winter are not covered when Pure Irrigation did not perform the preceding winterization, unless Pure Irrigation determines that the failure was clearly unrelated to freezing or seasonal maintenance.
Work Performed by Others
Work performed by another company or individual does not automatically eliminate coverage on unrelated Pure Irrigation work. However, the warranty does not cover conditions caused by, contributed to by, or made impossible to diagnose because another party altered, damaged, disconnected, repaired, or performed work on or near a covered component. Whenever reasonably possible, Pure Irrigation must be given an opportunity to inspect a suspected warranty problem before another party alters or repairs it.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by a lack of proper maintenance, freezing outside Pure Irrigation’s winterization responsibility, improper operation, misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, accidental damage, vehicle or equipment damage, animal damage, digging, vandalism, roots, soil movement, settling, landscaping changes, acts of nature, changes in water pressure, changes in water quality, inadequate water supply, electrical conditions outside our work, poor filtration, or pre-existing system problems.
Sprinkler heads damaged by vehicles, lawn equipment, digging, dropped objects, landscaping activity, animals, or other outside forces are not covered. The warranty applies only when the installed component or Pure Irrigation’s workmanship is determined to be defective.
Nozzles, Filters & Routine Maintenance
Clogged sprinkler nozzles and filters are considered routine maintenance rather than defective materials or workmanship. Dirt, sand, and other debris can enter an irrigation system, particularly when the system operates on secondary water. Cleaning clogged nozzles and filters is included during qualifying scheduled membership startups and inspections.
If nozzle cleaning is requested between regularly scheduled membership visits, Pure Irrigation members will not be charged a separate service-call fee. Nozzle cleaning is $5 per nozzle, subject to a $25 minimum per visit. If a nozzle cannot be cleaned and must be replaced, the charge is $20 per nozzle. Filter cleaning and other maintenance performed outside a scheduled visit will be charged at the applicable maintenance rate.
Timer & Controller Programming
Timer programming and reprogramming are not covered by the parts-and-labor warranty. If the homeowner or another party changes the programming of a controller installed or programmed by Pure Irrigation, any requested reprogramming or scheduling assistance may be billed at the applicable service rate. A physical failure of a qualifying controller or installed component will be evaluated separately under the warranty.
Maintenance Services
Services that do not involve failed or newly installed equipment—including winterizations, inspections, controller programming, nozzle adjustments, and similar maintenance services—do not create a separate parts-and-labor warranty. Pure Irrigation will nevertheless perform these services according to reasonable professional standards and will make reasonable efforts to address legitimate concerns regarding the service performed.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers must notify Pure Irrigation promptly after discovering a suspected warranty problem, take reasonable steps to prevent additional damage, and provide safe and reasonable access to the property and affected components. Failure to report a known issue promptly, continued operation that causes additional damage, or preventing Pure Irrigation from inspecting the original condition may limit or eliminate coverage for the resulting damage.
How Warranty Claims Are Handled
Pure Irrigation will determine whether a reported issue qualifies for warranty coverage after inspecting the affected work. If the problem is confirmed to be covered, Pure Irrigation will repair or replace the qualifying component and provide the necessary labor at no charge. Pure Irrigation may use a comparable replacement component when the original product is unavailable or has been discontinued.
If the reported problem is determined not to be covered, applicable service, diagnostic, maintenance, material, and repair charges may apply. Any additional non-warranty repair charges will be explained before the work is performed whenever reasonably practical.
Warranty repair or replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period. The repaired or replaced component remains covered only for the remainder of the original eligible warranty term.
Our Commitment
Pure Irrigation is committed to providing high-quality irrigation work and treating warranty concerns fairly. If a problem arises with work we performed, we will inspect the concern, clearly explain what we find, and complete qualifying warranty repairs according to this policy.
